Hello Happy Readers and Erstwhile Cupcake Bakers!

So, I have the very latest word from the Amazon Judging Team!! They held their Official Taste Test for the three finalists in The Original Cupcake Recipe Contest:

the Chocolate Meringue from Laura,
Sweet Peach Tea from Stephanie,
and The Fluffy Elvis from Kelli!

AND??? They are in heated debate, dead-tied between two of them. Can you believe it?? So, how are they going to decide who wins? Well, by having their very own Final Two Bake-Off Contest, that’s how!!

Oh the drama and the excitement! It’s a nail-biter…or perhaps that’s a frosting nibbler! I don’t know, but I’m SUPER excited to find out who made the Final Two (no, they wouldn’t tell me!) and who the eventual winner is! Can you even stand it? I think I need to sit down and have a cupcake and a glass of cold milk….

Because of this latest development, we’re going to give Team Amazon Bakers an extra day to get their baking and tasting done. They’ve been provided with copies of all three finalist’s recipes and will give us the official word by Friday, July 1. So, only an additional day!

And then we’ll be able to announce which cupcake recipe will appear in the back of SWEET STUFF, Book 2 of the Cupcake Club Romance series! I will be in NYC this week, where, of course, I will no doubt test out some of the city’s finest cupcakes (mmm, Crumbs, here I come!) but will return in time to announce the winner, right here, this Friday.
